Terms
How you may use this site, and the terms we work under when we cook for you.
Last updated September 22, 2026
This document was prepared for Wild Gourmet LLC but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Some of it states the general position while decisions only the business can make are still outstanding, so the specific terms for an event are the ones in your written quote. Treat this as a working draft rather than a binding statement. Questions in the meantime go to [email protected].
Using this site
Who you are dealing with
This site is published by Wild Gourmet LLC, a private catering business in Bozeman, Montana. Using the site means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use it.
What is on the site, and what it is worth
We try to keep the site accurate, but nothing here is a binding offer. Menus, service descriptions, availability and any price range shown are indicative. The only binding quote is one we send you in writing for your specific event, after we know the date, the headcount, and how far the site is from a road.
Photography and content
The photographs, writing, logo and ring artwork on this site belong to Wild Gourmet LLC or are used with permission. Please do not republish them commercially without asking. Asking is usually all it takes — email [email protected].
Any client testimonial on this site is published with the written permission of the person quoted. If you are quoted here and want it taken down, email us and it comes down.
Links to other businesses
Our partners page links to independent businesses we work alongside. We do not control them and are not responsible for their work, their sites, or their terms. A link is a recommendation of people we have worked with, not a guarantee.
Fair use of the site
Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site, and do not use the inquiry form to send spam or anything unlawful.
Booking and events
The clauses in this section set out how we work. Several are still being settled and are marked as drafts; until they are finished, the written quote and confirmation we send you governs your event, and nothing in this section overrides it.
An inquiry is not a booking
Sending the form starts a conversation. A date is only held once we have confirmed it to you in writing and any deposit has been received.
Deposits and payment
A deposit is required to hold a date. Your written quote sets out the amount, when it is due, when the balance is due, and how to pay — those terms are part of the quote you accept, and they are what govern your booking.
We plan, shop and pack against a confirmed date, so a deposit is how a date stops being provisional. If a payment is going to be late, tell us early and we will work it out with you.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Plans change, and in this country they change for reasons nobody controls. The cancellation and rescheduling terms for your event — including what happens to a deposit — are set out in your written quote.
As a general matter: the earlier you tell us, the more we can do, because the cost we have already committed to is what drives everything. If we have to cancel, or if weather, access or a closure ends an event that neither of us can control, we will talk to you about moving it, adapting it, or refunding what we have not already spent on your behalf. Backcountry work makes that last case common enough that we would rather handle it straightforwardly than hide behind a general force-majeure line.
Access, weather, and remote locations
Much of our work happens where the road ends. Cost and feasibility depend on access, and a truck or UTV trip prices differently to a horse pack-in. You are responsible for telling us accurately how the site is reached, and for arranging lawful access to it.
Trail conditions, weather, wildfire, smoke, and public-land closures can make a planned location unreachable or unsafe. If that happens we will work with you to move, adapt, or reschedule. We will not put a crew or guests into conditions we judge unsafe, and that judgment stays ours.
Some locations, public land in particular, carry their own permitting and access rules. Where a permit or authorization is needed for the location you have chosen, we will tell you what we understand is required and who is responsible for holding it before the event is confirmed.
Allergies and dietary requirements
Tell us about every allergy, intolerance and dietary requirement in writing before the event, and tell us early — substitutions are far harder once we are packed in.
We take allergies seriously and will do everything reasonable to cook around them. Be aware of the honest limit: we cook in shared kitchens and on shared equipment, often over a fire in a field camp, and we cannot guarantee any dish is free of cross-contact with an allergen. If an allergy is severe enough that cross-contact is dangerous, tell us plainly so we can discuss whether we are the right fit.
Alcohol
Wild Gourmet does not hold a liquor or server license. Bar service, where offered, is coordinated through a licensed third-party provider. We do not sell, serve, or supply alcohol, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer to.
Guest numbers
We cook and pack to a confirmed headcount, so we need a final number before the event. Your written quote sets the date that number is due and how charges work if it changes afterwards.
Tell us as soon as you know a number is moving. Adding guests late is sometimes possible and sometimes genuinely is not — a pack-in is limited by what the stock can carry, not by how much notice we would like.
Food after service
Food is prepared to be eaten at the event. Once food leaves our service — taken home, kept for later, or left out — we cannot vouch for it and are not responsible for it.
Your responsibilities on site
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you are responsible for lawful access to the location, any permissions or permits the venue or landowner requires, and telling us what is actually available on site — water, power, shelter, and where we can set up.
Liability
Outdoor events carry risks that come with being outdoors: terrain, weather, livestock, fire, and distance from help. We take safety seriously, we will not put a crew or guests into conditions we judge unsafe, and we expect guests to use reasonable care for themselves and each other.
This page does not limit our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. If you want the specific position for your event in writing — including the insurance Wild Gourmet LLC carries — ask us and we will set it out.
General
Governing law
Wild Gourmet LLC operates from Montana and these terms are intended to be governed by Montana law, with disputes heard there. If something goes wrong we would far rather you called us first — most things are fixable by the people involved.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed. The version in force for your event is the one we point you to in your written confirmation.
